It was a perfect day on December 18, 2017 to re-launch one of the best campaign programs of the Department of Tourism to invite foreign tourists to visit the country and experience the world’s renowned Filipino hospitality.
The Department of Tourism recognizing that millions of Filipinos are residing and working abroad, can be ambassadors of tourism by inviting their foreign friends and colleagues to come and visit the Philippines. Meanwhile, Regional Director Virgilio Maguigad, stressed that the strong participation of the public in the campaign program will further the cause of tourism not just in the region but also in the country in general.
The Cagayan Valley and Northern Philippine Islands launch happened at the newly opened SM City Downtown, Tuguegarao City and was graced by the presence of the supportive Tourism Officers in the region, tourism accredited enterprise owners, local leaders and media partners. The launching also managed to draw the attention of shoppers who stood and participated in the promo games designed to further entice the attention of the public.
It was also an opportune time that the region made its soft launch on its new tourism brand, “Your Islands and Valley of FUN”. Hence, the opportunity to say, “Bring Home A Friend to Your Islands and Valley of FUN and have Fun Up North.”
The tourism brand showcases the unique geographical structure of the region and the wonders which are diversified tourism destinations rolled into one to fulfill the wanderlust of tourists. Truly, there’s more to the Islands and Valley and its really more #FunUpNorth!
